Encouragement for the Unemployed
62As unemployment continues in the United States, the overall morale is dismaying. I've been unemployed three separate times since 2008. Sometimes, when I feel hopeless, I blame the economy or the government. Other times, I blame myself and think that I must not be good enough for any company. It's hard not to second guess your worth as a skilled and useful citizen, when you fill out many applications and (in a good month) go on one or two interviews. What I've found is, in order to survive any period of unemployment, you have to do your best at job searching, count your blessings, take one day at a time, and use humor to generate laughter (it's better then crying). Peruse these quotes and pictures that will help you realize you are a unique individual that was placed on this earth for a purpose.

Anyway, keep trucking on; you never know what inqiries may lead to locally; teachers; local businesses; parlors, volunteer opportunities.
Blessings.
Oh good! I'm so glad to hear this!
Keep praying!
Blessings.
Hey, this is wonderful, too. Maybe another teaching assistant possibility?
Blessings.
Sounds good; and mom and dad, whom you've mentioned, will sure be relieved, too.
Blessings.
PS(I think you said you've done retail at various chains before.)
Helen Keller's! I love it when words can be moved around like that and still hold one of the keys to the meanings of life.
"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief dutry to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble." - Helen Keller
That is what I wish for as well! Great hub. =) It's totally making me feel better about having to put in an application at Aldi's grocery store.
Hope the interview goes well! Blessings.
Glad to hear it went well; they don't always tell you there and then if you were successful, of course. Keep on trucking with the inquiries! Blessings.
This is the retail interview, right; on Tues. Hope it also goes well.
Oh okay! So would these involve having to go far, use a lot of gas, etc? these days, gas is quite a consideration.
Blessings.
Oh well this is good; it's an important consideration, anyway. You might in some ways like to live in a place such as LA or NYC, for all the fashion and design opportunities, maybe. But getting work in one's home locality does have its benefits.
Blessings.
I love this...one can accomplish great things when unemployed...wish you all the best Ebower
'That would be amazing to live in a larger city, but that won't happen until I can afford it.'
Sounds as if you would love it.
Finding fellowship there would be an issue as well, of course.
Blessings.
At least you had your roommate, right?
You seemed to have thoroughly shared some common interests, anyway.
Blessings.
Anyway, you were certainly into jewelry, body art etc.
Is she a Christian?
Blessings.
I am currently unemployed fresh out of college due to the dreaded "lack of experience" even though I'm overqualified for any other jobs. A complete mess!
So i enjoyed looking at these! Nice hub!
Anyway, my two cents' are: in days of unemployment, and when the body art industry is a growth area, and if it doesn't offend you and you're reasonably comfortable with it: while it may not be one's first choice, no need to close one's mind completely to work in this field.
Blessings.
YW. (smile)
I guess, too, that it would depend on how long the unemployment lasted, the matter of how seriously you would consider some involvement with the greatly growing body art industry. (Receptionist only, maybe, or possibly also some body art skill training, too.)
I do hope you find something soon, anyway.
Blessings.
YW. Like, you'd rather not get into it, but if there's nothing else you might feel compelled to give it a try eventually, right?
Well, it's a growth industry. (But you might find that your mom would at first try to dissuade you, anyway.)
Blessings.
YW. Glad to know you're confident, anyway. :)
Blessings.
I understand. Keep praying. And I guess I would also say, don't completely close your mind to parlor work - a real growth area - in some capacity or other. (I realize that for you it might be a bit of a mental hurdle at first.)
Blessings.
PS: But don't do anything against your conscience.
Blessings.
Remember, with all job hunting: the golden rule is, keep your options open!
Blessings.
How's your job hunt going, btw? how did your second interview go, recently
Blessings.
Well, not to worry. Keep praying. Like I said, keep your options open. As long as it wouldn't go against your conscience after praying about it, you might not want to exclude the greatly growing body art industry as at least a possibility (especially since you already know a lot about it).
Blessings.
Sometimes God can lead through unexpected doors, right? (He has for me, anyway.)
'Options open'!
Blessings.
Exactly. Don't be surprised if He does so again. He never acts contrary to His Word. But God being God is so far greater than our understanding. Blessings.
PS: Your recent job offer can be an encouragement in itself.
Proves it's good to keep praying, too! Blessings.
So how's the tutoring going? has it meaningfully brought you out of unemployment now? Blessings.
'Praise God from whom all blessings flow' ...'Praise Him all creatures here below'.
Hope it goes well for you.
Blessings.
YW and keep trusting and praying. Blessings.
PS: How is your tutoring job going these days? I was wondering. Maybe it can sometimes go in busy and slack periods, depending on the students' circumstances, really. Blessings.
