Insects: A Poem
62Pesky creatures,
Crawling, creeping,
Layering on my skin,
Biting hope within,
Tickling, Crippling,
Tingling, Gripping,
Standing still, I can't win,
Suddenly flying,
Atmosphere diving,
Freedom grasping near,
Swiftly altering in luminous skies,
The creatures extend wings with colored eyes,
No longer pestering with annoyance loud,
Transforming complete,
Floating free amongst clouds.
Description
Insects can be annoying and even frightening sometimes. Although, what is amazing is when caterpillars turn into butterflies. Before they transform into something beautiful, they are quite the opposite. Their purpose doesn't seem very lovely either; they eat plants, leaving gaping holes on green leaves. Later, they form their cocoon, wrapping themselves up tightly to hibernate for awhile. It takes patience, but eventually they emerge completely different from what they started out as. Amazingly, they have grown wings and the ability to fly. As a symbol of freedom and transformation, they float easily in the sky as mesmerized people gaze up at their beauty.

Nice thoughts and even nicer words.
Interesting perspective. I enjoyed this.
I really don't like any insect. Especially the buzzing stinging kind. I understand their purpose in this world, but they really do give me the creeps.
